“HBism” — A statement, principle or process that I consider thought provoking.
The minute you make up your mine that the way you see things makes a difference, it will make a difference in the way you see things — and do things.
To me this has been the foundation of my Process of Illumination essays — looking at the way we see things. Most of us don’t spend much time thinking that the way we see things makes a difference. If we did, we would spend more time looking at the way we see things — which would make a difference.
This is because looking at the way you see things is likely to expand the way you see things which is likely to change the way you do things. Beliefs become behavior.
What do you think? How much time do you spend looking inside?
It’s hard to know HOW to look at the way you see things. How do you do that? How does a person get outside themselves and their beliefs enough to look at other ways. I believe it can make a big difference but I think people don’t know how to do it. It’s not easy if you’re not used to doing it.
